As Dan would say"Old people..you can't beat 'em...pity"
A couple of weeks ago we had a new resident at work, she had come in for respite care while her niece who normally looked after her had a bit of a rest.I went into work a few says ago to find she had been thrown out of the home at one hours notice! Apparently she had been overheard making racist comments about the Fillipino girls that work there and complaining that she didn't want THEM caring for her she wanted the REAL nurses to see to her.Apart from the fact that it's residential home and we don't have nursing care there these girls are the only one's that do have any nursing training.All three are trained midwives!We all breathed a sigh of relief at her departure and broke open a fresh packet of custard creams to celebrate! By the way folks when and if any of you ever end up in a home when you are all old and wrinkly do try to remember not to suck your false teeth and get off all the bit's clinging to them before you hand them to the carer to clean for you...she will just be sick all over you! Got back on Wed from Florida and am just about getting over the jetlag.How do you like what my Mum picked up there??Had a brilliant time over there and hope to go again next year though only if the sales are on in the shops!!Oh and can i just say one thing...candid yams...YUK!  |

A couple of week's ago I bought a raffle ticket in my local bank for a children in need thing they were running. I've just had a phone call telling me that I've won it!!!!!!And it's made up by the poshest most expensive shop in Sandbach. I'm gobsmacked! Current Mood: jubilant |

What's in a name?
I recently found out that one of my friends on here has a dad called Ronnie Kakebeen!! How bloody good is that! I think it's the best name i have ever heard...ever!!And it has to be Ronnie,I can't think of another christian name that would go with it.It keeps going round in my head all the time! I did go out once with a bloke called Alan Crump and i've never lived it down.Imagine someone calling out Mrs Crump in the Dr's surgery. For that matter imagine having a daughter called Jo Crump..she's never forgiven me for her middle name,she would completely disown me if she had to put up with Crump too!
